AMD hält es nicht für nötig. Allerdings hat AMD es seinen Partnern erlaubt eigene 4890x2 zu entwickeln.

Irgendein Hersteller wie Asus wird das schon machen :smilie:cool

Es ist noch gar nicht so lange her, dass Nvidia sowohl die GeForce 9600 GT als auch die GeForce 9800 GT in einer so genannten „Green Edition“ eingeführt hat. Bei dieser liegt die Leistungsaufnahme unter den Werten des Referenzdesigns, dafür sind die Produkte aber auch etwas langsamer getaktet.


Ein Leser aus dem Forum von XtremeSystems hat nun in Erfahrung bringen können, das der in Deutschland eher unbekannte Hersteller Triplex nun ähnliches mit einer Radeon HD 4830 aus dem Hause ATi vor hat. So fällt bei der modifizierten Radeon HD 4830 vor allem ein gänzlich anderes PCB als bei der Standardversion auf, das nicht nur kleiner als dieses ist, sondern unter anderem auch über eine völlig andere Stromversorgung verfügt.

So ist zum einwandfreien Betrieb nun kein 6-Pin-Stromstecker mehr von Nöten, was bei den anderen Derivaten noch der Fall ist. Die maximale Leistungsaufnahme der Radeon HD 4830 liegt normalerweise bei 110 Watt, weswegen Triplex diesen um mindestens 35 Watt gesenkt haben muss – denn 75 Watt kann alleine der PCIe-Slot ohne externe Stromversorgung liefern. Nichtsdestotrotz taktet die eigenartige Radeon HD 4830 weiterhin mit 575 MHz (GPU) beziehungsweise 900 MHz (512 MB GDDR3-Speicher), ist also nicht langsamer als das Referenzdesign. Ein CrossFire-Anschluss sucht man auf der Radeon HD 4830 „Green Edition“ jedoch vergebens. Dafür findet man auf dem Slotblech einen D-SUB-, einen DVI- sowie einen HDMI-Anschluss vor. Man kann jedoch davon ausgehen, dass es sich um eine völlige Eigenentwicklung von Triplex handelt und nicht um eine generelle Änderung von ATi.

Also 35W nur durch eine kleine Senkung der GPU Spannung ist eher unwahrscheinlich, da der Takt ja gleich bleibt.
Ich könnte mir daher vorstellen dass ein paar Shader/Textur Einheiten eingespart wurden.

Die Gerüchteküche brodelt. AMD soll angeblich schon Ende Juli 2009 mit DirectX 11 Grafikchip kommen

Radeons wieder Erster mit neuer DirectX-Technik?

Laut einem Bericht auf heise.de sollen aus Unternehmerkreisen erste Infos zu AMDs DirectX-11-Grafikchip durchgesickert sein. So soll der Chip wie der Radeon HD 4770 (der am 28. April vorgestellt werden soll) in 40 Nanometer Strukturbreite kommen.

Sollte AMDs DirectX-11-Chip wirklich so weit vor dem Release von Mircrosoft Windows 7 erscheinen (welches vermutlich erst Ende des Jahres kommt), wird Nvidia wahrscheinlich in Zugzwang geraten - denn wann Nvidia mit 40 Nanometern und DirectX 11 auftrumpft ist noch vollkommen unbekannt.

glaube ich ehrlich gesagt nicht, aber mal abwarten. Wenn der Fall wirklich eintritt, dann wird Nvidia mitziehen, denke ich. Aber ohne die passende Software, ist es ja eh Quatsch.

Dem kann ich mich nur anschließen. Und wenn DX11 wirklich bei den ersten Spielen zum Einsatz kommt sind die Karten sehr wahrscheinlich schon wieder zu langsam.

Sparkle bringt weitere übertaktete GTX 275

Sparkle hat zum Wochenende noch einmal eine neue GeForce GTX 275 mit leicht übertakteten Frequenzen angekündigt. Diese „Plus“-Variante vertraut dabei aber nach wie vor auf den Referenzkühler, so dass sich die Anpassungen in Grenzen halten.

Mit 648/1.440/1.152 MHz liegt man gegenüber dem Referenzmodell der auch von uns getesteten GeForce GTX 275 mit 633/1.404/1.134 minimal in Front. Wie bei Sparkle üblich, gibt es zwei unterschiedliche Karten mit den Kürzeln „VP“ und „VM“. Die VP-Karten von Sparkle besitzen in der Regel lediglich zwei DVI-Ausgänge, während die VM-Grafikkarten „DVI+HDMI(Via Adapter)+HDCP+SPDIF IN“ bieten. Beide Lösungen bieten jedoch, wie das Referenzmodell, keinen TV-Ausgang.

Also die paar MHz mehr rechtfertigen meiner Meinung nach keine extra Version. Das schafft wohl noch jede normale GTX275 und die Geschwindigkeitszuwächse bewegen sich wahrscheinlich im Bereich von 1-5% :smilie:angel_not

ist ja oft so, takt um 2% erhöht und gleich mal für 20€ mehr verkaufen. Aber
mir ist es eig. auch egal, muss es ja nicht kaufen. Was man so hört, gehen die GTX275 anscheinend eh nicht so gut.
