Hinsichtlich des neuen X79-Chipsatzes von Intel hat Gigabyte sein Portfolio an High-End-Desktop-Mainboards neu gestaltet und wesentlich klarer strukturiert. Beim UD3 handelt es sich um Gigabytes Einstieg in die X79-Klasse. Das Board verfügt über ein sehr schlichtes Design und einen attraktiven Feature-Mix. Hinzu kommt eine Overclocking-Tauglichkeit, die in diesem Preissegment ihresgleichen sucht.
